Turn code into a shareable image
Paste a snippet and it appears in a themed window card with the same syntax colouring a code editor would give it — the language is detected for you, and you can override it. Choose a theme, a background colour or gradient, how much space sits around the card, whether line numbers show, and what the window is titled. Then take it away as a PNG, as an SVG that stays sharp at any size, or copy the image straight to your clipboard to paste into a pull request or a message. All of it — the highlighting, the layout, the image — is done by your browser. The code you paste is never sent anywhere, which matters when the snippet you are showing someone happens to contain a key, an internal name, or work that has not shipped yet.
