Tidy up text pasted from an AI assistant

Text that comes out of a chat assistant often carries typographic characters your target does not want: curly quotes, em dashes, a single-character ellipsis, and spacing that looks ordinary but is not. This normalises all of it to plain ASCII so it pastes cleanly into code, a CMS or a form. Note what this tool does not do: it does not tell you whether text was written by AI, because nothing here could. Word and phone keyboards insert the same characters.

These characters come from all sorts of places — AI assistants, Word, Google Docs, phone keyboards and copy-paste between apps all insert them. Their presence does not show that text was written by AI, and their absence does not show that it was not. This tool tells you what is in your text and lets you clean it; what that means is your call.
